Omaha Pick-Up Ultimate
We play every Monday night starting at 6:30 PM at a small park just north of 123rd and Blondo in Omaha.

This is a group where everyone from beginners to experts can play. We will randomly choose teams each week and play for an hour and a half or so, or until everyone is tried and ready to go home. So come when you can, and bring your friends!

Rules
After teams are chosen, one team will ìkickoffî to the other by throwing the disc to them from around their own goal line. The field is just like a football field with end zones and sidelines, which will be marked by orange cones.
The receiving or offensive team will then advance the disc up the field toward the kicking or defensive teamís end zone by passing it to each other. Running with the disc is not allowed. This continues until there is a turnover or a pass is caught in the end zone for a point.
A turnover occurs when the pass is intercepted, hits the ground before being caught, or goes out of bounds. After a turnover the offense and defense immediately switch and the new offense would start trying to advance the disc the other way until they score a point or commit a turnover, starting the process again.
When a point is scored, the team that did not score must walk to the other end of the field (effectively switching the direction each team is moving) and the team that scored must kickoff, starting the process again.
When one team scores seven points and is ahead by at least two, they are the victors.
Special rules:
If a pass is caught while running, the person must stop their momentum as quickly as possible.
When guarding a thrower, you can do everything to prevent him or her from throwing except touch him or her or the disc. You can touch the disc as soon as they let it go on a throw. You are allowed to count off ten seconds for the person you are guarding to throw it. If they do not throw in ten seconds, it is a turnover. If you are being guarded and the defender does touch you, call ìfoulî and you will get a free throw from the spot you were fouled.
Fouls can also be called if someone prevents the disc from being caught by pushing, tripping, etc. A free throw applies in this case as well.
Double teaming the thrower is not allowed.
The disc must be caught in the end zone for a point to be scored (momentum cannot carry you in).
If the disc is turned over in the defenderís end zone (i.e. the offense almost scored) the defense, now on offense, is allowed to bring the disc up to the goal line and the person with the disc cannot be defended.
If the disc is turned over in the offensive teamís end zone, the defense gets the disc on the goal line.
You can only catch your own throw if it is touched by another player.
